"Hello Olya and the Team,

I wanted to let you know how much we enjoyed your show last Sunday. What a great evening's entertainment!

The singing and musicianship was brilliant and covered a wide range of songs in different languages and from a variety of cultures. I was particularly impressed by the lady who sang and 'signed' for the deaf - what a talent! And very touching to see it done so well and with feeling. I feel very humbled to have witnessed it. Well done you!

Of course the little girls, the youngest being 4 years old, dressed in their national costumes absolutely stole the show with their dance routine. But I must also mention the 3 male singers who provided some great vocal entertainment not least with their version of Jake Thackary's 'Sister Josephine'.

I must mention the classical musicians, the guitar players and saxophonist - you were all brilliant. Your music added to the variety of the evening's entertainment. Having experienced what 'Tune for Life' is all about I can see what a comforting 'force for good' they must be when they deliver their unique style of entertainment to the elderly and the bed ridden. You all deserve huge credit for your commitment to raising the spirits of those in need and also for the excellent show you served up for us last Sunday. What a treat! Thank you all.

We hope you raised lots of money for your excellent cause.

Best wishes

Peter and Marion Beldaus"

"Well what can I say, what a great afternoon we had with the residents, I have had lots of positive feedback from residents, staff and visitors. I love how interactive you all were with the residents and got them all engaged catering for all their different needs. We would love to see you and the group again.

Once again it is great what you’re doing engaging people and enhancing their lives. Thank you very much"

"The musical workshops that the Year 3 children (90 students) have experienced this year from Olya have been wonderful. The children have been fully engaged in the musical activities and have learned about folk, classical and international ideas in the world of song, music and dance.

By allowing children to join in with lyrics, dance moves and instruments to accompany the music, Olya's lessons have benefitted the children in many aspects of the performing arts. For children who do not get opportunities to listen to live music outside of school, these sessions have been great to enrich their cultural experiences.

We have thoroughly enjoyed the workshops and are grateful for the way they have enhanced our curriculum in Year 3 this year."

St Marks School

"The children of Merton Junior School have been enthralled by the International Music Workshops. The variety of the exposure to musical cultures from around the world was both educational and fun. So far, 3/4 of the school have been involved in the workshops in one way or another."

Quotes from the children: "I loved how interactive it was!" "I had so much fun!"

Quotes from staff: "It was great to see the children so engrossed in the different styles of music." "It was clear to see how much the children enjoyed themselves throughout all the different workshops."

James McMullen

"Thank you so much for coming into our coffee morning and playing all of the lovely music. We all had a great time and we hope that sometime in the new year you could come back and play for us again. We wish you all a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!"

Alex Soto, Helping Hands for the Blind

"Olya and her team are so passionate about what they do. They are accommodating, friendly and work very hard to engage as many people as they can with the music and singing. It is amazing to see the patients with limited mobility tapping their feet or waving their arms to the music. We always look forward to our next session. Olya and her team manage to make people smile."

Ruth Burton, Day Services Lead, St Michael's Hospice

"On behalf of The Oakridge Social group I would just like to thank you and the other members of the group for your wonderful performance on Wednesday 1st November 2017. It was a delightful morning and the group of older people really enjoyed the group participation."

Kirsty Bruton, Age Concern Hampshire

"Olya and her Tune for Life team are wonderful. They have been coming to our memory club for the past year and the members always really enjoy the sessions. They are always different, a lot of variety never the same. Its great that they also include different cultures in some of their sessions and bring along props for the members too! The members recognise some of the team and are comfortable to get up and dance with them which helps with the socialisation and meaningful activity. I would recommend them to anyone looking for the personal touch and additional effort they put into each and everyone of their sessions."

Emma Cameron, Memory club lead, Viables community association

"Many thanks for your excellent workshop yesterday, the children were very enthusiastic and continued to dance on the playground! There were 135 children in the hall, from Foundation Stage, Year 1 and Year 2. We have many children in our school who have visited European Countries or have families living in European Countries. As part of our music curriculum it is vital that the children are exposed to music and dance from a range of genres and this was clearly apparent in your workshop. We are very much looking forward to the next one."

Sally Peckett, Deputy Headteacher, Manor Field Infant School

"Thank you so much for joining us and lifting our spirits at our Treats Day on Monday. We had a questionnaire at the end of the day and the majority of guests put you down as the favourite part of the day! So thank you sharing your energy and enthusiasm with us."

Kay, The Pink Place

"Thank you and your wonderful team of great singers, musicians and dancers. Our patients at Basingstoke and North Hants hospital had a fabulous time, singing, clapping and shaking their instruments.

Our patients are the most vulnerable to care for and when we can lift their spirits in any way it is always a great feeling. A lot of these patients are now unable to communicate due to their advanced conditions but will remember songs from times gone by and what fun they all had.

What a wonderful joy you bring to the elderly and disabled and I pray that you will be able to return one day as the patients have spoke of nothing else all day. It was a great out pouring of emotions all around and even though some shed a few tears I like to think they we're happy ones.

Congratulations to you all for a successful morning."

Jo Colston, Dementia Specialist, BNHH

"We loved the Festival very much! Our residents were really excited and happy, especially when we won the singing competition.

All your helpers were extremely helpful and they interacted a lot with all the guests.

Everyone seemed to have great fun.

Hope you will organise some more Festivals like this."

"Wow - WHAT an experience!

Olya kept over 200 infant school children (age 4 - 7) totally rapt for 45 minutes with her fantastic workshop. The children sang in different languages, learnt a little about the culture of different countries, learnt dances and clapped, stamped and cheered their way through the session.

The energy that Olya and her team displayed was truly admirable and Olya's control of such a huge number of excited children was fantastic. They will be talking about this event for a long time to come - we will DEFINITELY be asking Olya to come again!"

Mrs G Fletcher, Music Coordinator: Park View Infant School

"Olya and her team gave our Year 9 pupils an absolutely fantastic experience as part of Languages Week here at The Hurst Community College. To be able to handle over 100 14-year old pupils and get them singing, dancing, and speaking a variety of new languages is an impressive feat!

Several of the pupils' teachers commented on how even the most 'difficult' of pupils were participating with such a positive and focused energy that it was a delight to watch. We heard Olya and her team's songs being sung in the playground throughout the day, as well as a few impromptu Cossack dances from the boys!

If you're looking to introduce your pupils to a variety of new cultures and languages in an engaging, enriching, and above all enjoyable way, I could not recommend Tune For Life enough!

Perfect, perfect, perfect! 5 stars!"

Christie, Hurst Community College

"Wow what a week! On Monday the children thoroughly enjoyed our International Music workshop. They were singing in 5 different languages and learning some very interesting dances. We were very impressed with how all the children got involved, even those reluctant dancers!"

Abstract from King Furlong School newsletter

"I would like to say thank you so much for coming to our Nursing Home (Oak Lodge Nursing Home in Oakley) for the Music Entertainment today. The residents in our home were very pleased and happy to see you and your performance. The majority of people in the home enjoyed that they sang along with you. On top of it, they were clapping their hands to show that they really liked your performance. We are very happy to come across your entertainment and would like to recommend to others. Thank you so much for today."

Rusma Chochanga

"I just wanted to say a big thank you for coming in to our school to play the piano, sing and dance. Both the children and staff absolutely loved your performance and the children really enjoyed having the opportunity to join in with the dancing and it was a completely new experience they hadn't had before. We hope that you will be able to visit us again in the future."

Cheryl Hawkings, Deputy Head, Park View Infant School

"I first met Olya a year ago, when she represented Basingstoke Multicultural Forum on my Mayoral Fundraising team for 2015/16.

Olya organised several very successful multicultural/musical events throughout the year. She worked tirelessly to help raise almost £24,000 for my three chosen charities.

Olya has a wonderful sense of humour, a ‘can-do’ approach and shows great passion for what she does. She has many international contacts and has brought together different nationalities to form groups to perform at the events that she has organised. She also has the ability to successfully encourage young people to work across different age groups.

I certainly look forward to attending any future events that she organises and would like to wish her every success in this venture."

Anne Court, Retired Mayor of Basingstoke & Deane, Kempshott Ward Councillor

"Olya Elliott from Tune For Life brought her delightful Russian Kids Choir to perform at our Rotary Charity Concert. We had over 100 people attending and they were captivated by the young Russian children with their lovely costumes, singing and dancing and gave them the loudest applause of the evening. We raised over £5000 for Spotlight in Basingstoke and must thank Olya and her children for helping to achieve this fantastic amount."

Mark. Odiham Rotary

"Thank you so much for a lovely afternoon of Song and Dance. The residents haven’t stopped talking about it, they loved it.
We would love to have you at Magnolia Court again."

"Olya and her energetic team have now visited us at the Viables Memory club several times. The members really enjoy the teams enthusiasm and variety of music they play. The members are very up-beat and clap along, some even get up and dance with the team and sing along to the well known songs. The members look forward to when they see 'Tune4Life' on the schedule. I would highly recommend them and their variety they bring to each session."

"Can I thank you very much for the great contribution of you and your colleagues last night. It was brilliant to see how much the audience enjoyed your performance, and joined in with the excitement that you generated!"

John Fuller (organiser of Anvil Theatre concert)
