Who we are

 

Olya Elliott - Founder and Director.

Olya

Olya Elliott - founder and art director of various local singing and instrumental groups. Olya has Degree (with Honours) in teaching languages and music. She also graduated from Surrey University in Guildford with MA in European studies and law. Olya sings and plays piano, key board and guitar. She plays in a variety of musical genres and sings in several European languages. She is also Vice Chair of Basingstoke Multicultural forum. She organises various charity events and concerts for adults and children. Olya has been recently selected Volunteer of the Year by the Basingstoke Mayor office.

Victoria-Alina Balan

Victoria

Gained her Bachelor degree from the Royal College of Music, London, where she studied the violin with Prof. Yosii Zivoni. In 2015 she got her Masters Degree from the Royal Holloway University of London. Victoria started playing the violin at the age of 8 in Moldova, her birth country and won first prize in children’s TV competition, playing for Moldova’s National Television. In 2004 and 2005 she toured with the school's chamber orchestra around Europe. In September 2006 Victoria was given a full scholarship to study at the Purcell School of Music with Tony Cucciara. With the RCM Symphony Orchestra, Victoria has performed in St Paul’s Cathedral, Royal Festival Hall, Peteborough Cathedral, St John’s Smith Square and other concert halls. Victoria has performed in in Europe, India, Russia and USA. She played the Bruch Violin Concerto with the National Philharmonic Orchestra of Moldova in 2014. In July 2015, Victoria has played solo at the General Conference of SDA Church in San Antonio, USA, where she released her Christian album Love by Grace.

Tanya Makarchuk

Tanya

Studied cello at Saratov Conservatoire in Russia, with Natali Boratnikova and her husband Andrei Boratnikov. In the year 2000 she obtained her Masters in Performance from Reading University. She is an active chamber musician and has performed for members of the Royal Family for the past 15 years at their annual Christmas concert recitals. Tanya is also a dedicated teacher in a wide range of instruments such a guitar, accordion, piano and cello. She loves to experiment different performance styles and is now focuses on singing Russian folk music whilst playing her electric cello.

Miriam Harrison Benkova

A professionally qualified Piano Tutor with 25 years of experience. Graduated from Music Academy in former Czechoslovakia, Miriam is working successfully as a Piano/Theory Teacher, Performer and Accompanist.

Laura Wilcock

Laura Wilcock

Laura has been singing in various folk groups in Britain and in France for the last 20 years. She also plays the bodhran, a traditional Irish drum. She is fluent in British sign language and currently holds a level 6 BSL qualification. She works in a local school in Basingstoke supporting hearing impaired children. Part of her job is teaching children to perform songs in sign language.

Coming from different paths of life all these ladies have been singing in professional choirs for many years. They take part in many charity events held by mayors of Basingstoke,, and local charities.

An award winning close harmony a cappella trio. Singing at festivals including Southampton Music in the City, The Hampshire Beer Festival, Basingstoke Live and various Country Fairs. They perform a range of music including Rixton, One Republic, Michael Buble, One Direction, The Beatles, Simon and Garfunkel to name a few and their distinctive style always brings an element of fun and humour to their performances.

Darren Boyce

Darren Boyce

Darren has gained some fantastic reviews in a very short time for his performances as Elvis in TROUBLE. His love for singing has been with him from a very early age inspired by his father who he recollects was always singing in the truck on the way home from work. Following several years singing karaoke & providing a disco/karaoke service he decided to launch himself into becoming the best he could possibly be as a Tribute to Elvis Presley.

On the left - is a new member of our team Joe French. Rock & Roll musician with 25 years of experience of singing and playing in various local bands. He also has 10 years of teaching experience in a local school for children with special needs.

Stacy Hart

Stacy Hart

Stacy is an actress, singer/songwriter, writer, presenter and voiceover artist.

 

At sixteen she successfully auditioned for the Hampshire Foundation Course in Theatre at Queen Mary’s College in Basingstoke and finished with a Merit two years later. During her last months at college she went to open call for extras in a low budget British film set in Basingstoke; she was called back several times and eventually cast in a lead role.

 

That film was GET REAL (1998) and after working on it, instead of going to drama school as planned,she got her first agent and went into professional acting.

 

For the last eight years she has had a number of projects including amateur theatre, low-budget short and feature films, TV voiceover work, co-presenting a music show for local TV, and regular gigs in a local band Wherewithal .
